Monday: The standing committee of China’s National People’s Congress begins. They are expected to approve a fiscal spending package for Beijing’s stimulus programme. Malaysia’s Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim and the President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari visit China. Indonesia and Russia hold their first joint naval drills.

Tuesday: The China International Import Expo begins in Shanghai. Australia’s central bank announces its rate decision. China’s Caixin services PMI data for October is due. Indonesia announces third-quarter GDP.

Wednesday: Malaysia’s central bank announces its decision on interest rates. Toyota, Honda and Tata Steel report earnings. 

Thursday: China releases its trade figures for October. The Philippines reports third-quarter GDP.

Friday: Sony, Tata Motors and Olympus report earnings. Japan reports household spending for September. Taiwan releases October trade figures.
