Former school CFO joins Stephens

Stephens, Inc.

Stan Osborne, a former public school chief financial officer in Texas, has joined Stephens, Inc. as a vice president for public finance in the firm’s Houston office.

He has more than 20 years of school finance experience, which includes his previous role as CFO of Aldine Independent School District, according to the Little Rock, Arkansas-based firm.

“Throughout Texas, investments in school campuses, technology and academic programs remain priorities and strategic funding is critical to advance many of these projects,” Leigh Ann Biernat, Stephens’ executive vice president, and head of public finance, said in a statement. “Stan, as a former CFO and controller within the school system, has considerable insight into the needs of our education clients, and can leverage the full breadth of Stephens’ resources to help them realize their goals.”

Stephens said Texas is a major market for the firm with more than 150 employees in its Dallas, Austin, and Houston metro area offices providing “public finance, investment banking, wealth management, insurance, and fixed-income solutions throughout the region.”
